Frequently Asked Questions

Are you ORGANIC?

We are not certified organic, but we grow the cleanest and best quality food we can without synthetic chemicals, only using products that break down 100% into natural compounds. We started farming so we would be able to have more control over what goes into the food we feed to our families. Take an opportunity to send us an email or come to an open day, we'd love to tell you more about our process. We currently care for around 270 happy hens, with plans to grow our flock over time. They’re regularly moved onto fresh grass, and eggs are collected daily, straight from the field to you.

Where can I buy your produce?

You can find our produce at SCOOP all year round, and it’s also featured on the menus at Dandy, Brunch, Dough Rye Me where it’s turned into some seriously good food.

What do you feed your chickens?

We feed our hens a primarily UK grown palm-free soy-free pellet as a primary part of their diet. They move location onto new ground every week and we prioritise enabling natural low-stress behaviour, such as scratching, small flocks and a diverse foraging to promote good health and great eggs.

Can I pause my box if I go on holiday?

Of course. If you’re away, you’re welcome to pause your box. Alternatively, you can nominate a friend to enjoy it in your place (we’re happy to offer them a little discount too). Just let us know the details and we’ll take care of the rest. Order changes must be made by Sunday night on the week of delivery.

Is all your produce local?

99% Yes, we’re proud to keep things local. Everything is grown and sourced close to home. At the very start and end of the season, we may bring in a small amount of certified organic produce from the UK - this helps us make the most of our own harvest while still giving you a full and varied box. Produce will be listed along with its origin in the newsletter contained in every veg box.

Are your boxes available all year round?

We run our boxes for most of the year, but aim to be year round by 2028 as we continue learning. Currently, we take a short break in the first quarter to replant, and prepare for the season ahead.

What do we do with the LOMAH veg boxes?

This is the one thing we’ll ask you to return. Our boxes are reusable and designed to go round the farm many times. Simply leave them out on your next delivery day, and our driver will collect them as he drops off your fresh produce.

What’s included in each box?

Each box is a mix of what’s fresh from our community of farmers on that week. We harvest what’s ready, so no two boxes are ever quite the same. You can expect a thoughtful selection of vegetables, alongside optional add-ons. We try to always include a diverse mix of hard, soft, leafy and colourful veg, always fresh, always grown with care.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

Not at all. As long as you leave us a safe spot, we’ll deliver your box there. Everything is packed to stay fresh for you until you’re ready to bring it in. If you have any specific delivery instructions, just let us know, we’re always happy to help.

How much do the boxes cost?

Our boxes are priced to reflect the care, time, and quality that goes into growing everything here on the farm. We keep things fair and transparent, offering great value for fresh, seasonal, organic produce grown locally. For current pricing and box options visit our website or get in touch, we’re happy to guide you.

How do I sign up?

Signing up is simple. You can do it directly through our website, or drop us a message if you’d prefer a more personal touch. We’ll talk you through the options, confirm your schedule, and make sure everything is ready for your first box from the farm.
